Trying to decipher the model number of a 1998 90hp Johnson

Hi people, I was hoping someone might be able to help me decipher the model number my Johnson 90 Hp 1998 outboard. I have a partial tag on the motor. the first part is unreadable. I can see some important numbers. These are :
01/1998
(preceding numbers unreadable)...SLECM
67.3 KW
Engine disp. 99.6

From this I deduce it is a 1998 with 90Hp. Looking at parts fiche on Boats.net I find two motors that have the same 2 barrel carburetors.

• J90TSLECM
• XJ90TSLECM

The problem is that according to the parts fiche neither of these motors have a VRO?

So I'm needing to fix a noising crank bearing issue but I would really like to know the exact model number before ordering parts.

Yes J90TSLECM should be correct parts catalog for your engine, it does have VRO listed on Fuel Bracket and Components parts page.
