  • Johnson 4W70E No gear selector?

This may be a stupid question but I bought a 1970 Johnson Seahorse 4W70E and there does not appear to be a gear selector on it. No neutral or reverse? The prop is always engaged and I can't see anywhere to put it in neutral to start. There is one selector on the side. Stop/Start/Fast but it looks only like throttle control as the handle is not throttle. I have never seen a motor with no neutral or reverse. Am I missing something???

That model only has one gear and no neutral, a lot of the 4hp and under models were made that way.
