1990 70VRO blows fuse at solenoid when turn key to start

Something is grounding out to blow the fuse by the solenoid when the key is turned to start. Replacing the ignition switch. Checking solenoid, any other suggestions?

That is usually a shorted wire, wire chaffed or pinched and shorted to ground. Have even seen wiring in boat damaged from rats eating the wires.
