  • 2004 60hp 4 stroke intake removal questions.

I have a 2004 60hp 4 stroke model J60PL4S0. I want to remove the intake manifold to get access to the high pressure fuel pump reservoir. The BRP manual I have says you have to remove the front panel to get access to a throttle body bolt as they want you to remove the entire throttle body assy with the intake. That seems excessive and is very difficult on my pontoon boat. Why can't I simply remove the 4 easy to get to TB bolts and leave the TB on the motor? Please let me know soon as I want to get my boat in the water for the summer.

If you can get the front intake bolts out without removing throttle body, then you can take manifold and throttle body off together.
