Having issue with tach, hookup , please correct me if wrong, 1980 85 hp johnson , with 3 wire plug in on control box, I put grey to tach, purple to power ( tho 2 p-wires spliced together ? 
) blue to light and of course blk to ground, Tach is very erratic, all over the place, maybe bad ground ??
