90 vro pump on an 85?

As my 85 70hp 3cyl vro seems to be the high speed throttle culprit (shuts down when opened up), I have a 1990 40 hp 2 cyl vro2, pn 0174875 that I am pretty sure is good. Can I use this one on the 85? Alternative is to go to a regular fuel pump set up. Need parts recommendation on that. Thanks.

The pumps are different part numbers, doesn't look they have same pumps.
The Pre-Mix conversion kit for cylinder and larger motots is part number 5007422
