  • reversed polarity on electric starter

Attention to detail!!! I guess I didn't......anyway, I accidently reversed the pos/neg leads from the motor to the battery and now the starter wont work. Can anyone tell me if there's an inline fuse that I may have blown or did I blow some of my electronics! It's a 2007 9.9 hp motor, model J10tbl4su. I can still start the engine using the manual pull cord.

      reversed polarity

***, glad to hear about that!!! Now, just have to see where they hid it. Any hints on where it may be located....the owners manual is very skimpy on details!

yes owners manuals are great for BASIC info, but i'm glad you read it!!!!! most do not

follow the + positive battery cable into the motor, under the cowling

you will have a fuse/breaker box there

        boats.net, i think Bobby answer's the tech ?
